General Statement of Duties:Assist the BSA Officer and the BSA Management team with all BSA and AML functions.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze monthly Alerts/Cases flagged as potentially suspicious.
- Analize OFAC ( Office of Foreign Assets Control) alerts
- Investigate and draft Suspicious Activity Reports.
- Conduct due diligence searches in various third-party and internal databases.
- Assist with compliance of USA PATRIOT Act requirements relating to certain of the Bank’s business units.
- Assist with identifying, assessing and reviewing high/medium risk accounts.
- Monitor and review Currency Transaction Reports (CTRs).
- Apply strong analytical skills in the assessment of KYC and BSA data.
- Maintain technical proficiency in monitoring systems under the control of the department.
- May be called upon to conduct user acceptance testing of all software releases under the control of the department.
- Ensure compliance with all regulations, policies and procedures. Perform additional accountabilities as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 1 to 2+ years’ experience in the AML/BSA and or Fraud department.
- CAMS certification a plus.
- Branch or Operations experience a plus.
- Bachelor’s Degree, or comparable education and/or experience required.
- Requires knowledge of regulatory obligations under the Bank Secrecy Act, FinCEN, OFAC and experience with SAR’s from a banking perspective
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Requires discretion to handle confidential and sensitive material.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills including oral and written skills required.
- Must be able to work with all levels of management and staff.
- Requires proficiency in Windows, Microsoft Word, Excel and Internet based applications.

- Manual dexterity. Must be able to manipulate keyboard, phone, etc. as necessary to complete work.
