General Statement of Duties:Assist the BSA Officer and the BSA Management team with all BSA and AML functions.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

Review and analyze monthly Alerts/Cases flagged as potentially suspicious.
Analize OFAC ( Office of Foreign Assets Control) alerts
Investigate and draft Suspicious Activity Reports.
Conduct due diligence searches in various third-party and internal databases.
Assist with compliance of USA PATRIOT Act requirements relating to certain of the Bank’s business units.
Assist with identifying, assessing and reviewing high/medium risk accounts.
Monitor and review Currency Transaction Reports (CTRs).
Apply strong analytical skills in the assessment of KYC and BSA data.
Maintain technical proficiency in monitoring systems under the control of the department.
May be called upon to conduct user acceptance testing of all software releases under the control of the department.
Ensure compliance with all regulations, policies and procedures. Perform additional accountabilities as required.

Minimum Qualifications:

1 to 2+ years’ experience in the AML/BSA and or Fraud department.
CAMS certification a plus.
Branch or Operations experience a plus.
Bachelor’s Degree, or comparable education and/or experience required.
Requires knowledge of regulatory obligations under the Bank Secrecy Act, FinCEN, OFAC and experience with SAR’s from a banking perspective

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Requires discretion to handle confidential and sensitive material.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills including oral and written skills required.
Must be able to work with all levels of management and staff.
Requires proficiency in Windows, Microsoft Word, Excel and Internet based applications.

Work from Home position
Must be able to sit for long periods of time.
Manual dexterity. Must be able to manipulate keyboard, phone, etc. as necessary to complete work.
Must be able to see to read required documentation.
Must be able to work additional hours as necessary to meet business needs.
