A leading independent advisory firm focused on large-cap M&A and strategic transactions is seeking an Associate to join its New York office. The firm advises corporations and financial sponsors on complex mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic transactions across a broad range of industries. The firm has particular strength in the asset management and insurance sectors, with deep expertise across the full suite of financial institutions verticals, in addition to advising clients across broader sectors outside of FIG.
The Associate will play an integral role in transaction execution and client advisory, working closely with senior bankers in a lean, high-performing team environment. This role provides meaningful responsibility, direct exposure to senior professionals and clients, and the opportunity to work on high-profile M&A transactions.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain detailed financial models, including merger models, valuation analyses, and other transaction-related analyses
- Prepare client presentations, pitch materials, and transaction documentation
- Conduct industry and company research to support strategic advisory engagements
- Participate in all aspects of transaction execution, including due diligence coordination and interaction with clients and external advisors
- Support senior bankers in developing strategic alternatives and transaction structures
Qualifications
- 2–4 years of experience in investment banking, corporate finance, or transaction advisory
- Strong financial modeling and valuation skills, including experience with M&A analysis
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills
- Bachelor’s degree from a top university with a strong academic record
