Blacklock is representing a top-tier investment bank in the search for an Investment Banking Analyst to join its Healthcare Mergers & Acquisitions team in New York.
Role Overview
The Analyst will work closely with senior bankers on the execution of M&A transactions and strategic advisory assignments for leading healthcare companies. This position offers hands-on transaction experience, meaningful client exposure, and deep specialization within the healthcare space.
Responsibilities
- Support the execution of buy-side and sell-side M&A transactions, strategic alternatives, and related advisory assignments
- Build and maintain detailed financial models, including DCF analyses, comparable companies, precedent transactions, and merger models
- Prepare marketing and execution materials such as pitch books, confidential information memoranda, and management presentations
- Analyze financial statements, operating metrics, pipelines, and valuation drivers specific to life sciences businesses
- Assist with due diligence coordination, data room management, and interaction with legal, accounting, and other advisors
- Work closely with Associates, Vice Presidents, and senior team members in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with strong academic credentials
- 1–3 years of investment banking experience, or relevant experience in consulting, equity research, or corporate finance
- Strong financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- High level of professionalism, work ethic, and ownership mentality
