About the role
Alantra is seeking to hire an Investment Banking Associate to join its Consumer M&A and capital raising advisory practice in New York City. The ideal candidate will bring 3–5 years of relevant investment banking or transaction advisory experience, with strong execution skills and the ability to take ownership of critical workstreams while supporting client relationships.
Associates at Alantra play a central role in managing deal processes and mentoring junior team members. They work directly with Vice Presidents, Managing Directors, and Partners, contributing meaningfully to transaction execution and business development initiatives. This role offers the opportunity to work on high-profile, cross-border deals within a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day transaction execution across buy-side, sell-side, and capital raising assignments.
- Lead preparation of financial models, valuations, pitch materials, and client presentations.
- Coordinate due diligence processes and act as a primary point of contact for clients and counterparties.
- Provide guidance, training, and oversight to Analysts and Interns, ensuring quality deliverables.
- Support business development efforts, including preparation of pitches and participation in client meetings.
- Collaborate with colleagues across Alantra’s global offices to deliver seamless cross-border advisory.

Qualifications / Requirements
- 3–5 years of investment banking, transaction advisory, or corporate development experience; consumer sector experience preferred.
- Strong academic record; bachelor’s degree required (business, finance, economics, or related field).
- Advanced financial modeling and valuation skills; ability to manage complex analyses independently.
- Strong client-facing skills and ability to present with confidence.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple workstreams.
- Team-oriented mindset with the ability to supervise and mentor junior professionals.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- FINRA Series 79 and 63 licenses required (or willingness to obtain within 6 months).
