Blacklock Group is partnering with a leading private equity firm focused on investing in the media & communications sector to identify an Associate for its investment team.
The firm partners with management teams to build market-leading businesses, leveraging deep industry expertise, operational experience, and disciplined investment execution. The team operates in a highly collaborative environment with meaningful exposure to senior leadership and portfolio company executives.
This role offers significant responsibility and involvement across the full investment lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain complex financial models (LBO, operating models, M&A analysis)
- Conduct industry research and competitive analysis
- Lead key due diligence workstreams and manage third-party advisors
- Prepare investment memoranda and Investment Committee materials
- Support transaction structuring and closing
Portfolio Management
- Monitor portfolio company performance and KPIs
- Assist with strategic and operational value-creation initiatives
- Support add-on acquisitions and exit processes
Qualifications
- 2–4 years of investment banking, private equity, or transaction advisory experience
- Strong financial modeling and valuation capabilities
- Interest in media, communications, or digital business models
- Excellent analytical and communication skills
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams
