INVESTMENT BANKING ASSOCIATE

We are seeking an experienced Investment Banking Associate to join our team and play a central role in transaction execution, client engagement, and firm growth. Associates work directly with senior bankers across all facets of our engagements, including transaction evaluation, preparation, marketing, and execution. From day one, Associates assume meaningful responsibility in a collaborative team environment – guiding clients, interfacing with buyers, and mentoring junior team members in the context of live deals.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed financial models to project clients’ businesses and growth opportunities
- Perform valuation analyses, including public comparable companies and precedent transactions
- Draft high-quality marketing materials, including CIMs, management presentations, teasers, and process letters
- Participate in client calls, pitch presentations, management meetings, and buyer discussions
- Conduct industry, market and competitor research and due diligence
- Identify and research potential buyers, investors, or targets for each client engagement
- Oversee transaction logistics, including managing buyer or target funnels, preparing weekly client status updates, and administering data rooms
- Mentor Analysts to elevate overall execution quality
- Contribute to firm knowledge, subject matter expertise, and operational and delivery excellence.
Requirements:
The ideal Associate candidate will exhibit the following credentials and characteristics:
- Current or recent prior experience as an Investment Banking Associate
- 4 years minimum of investment banking or relevant M&A advisory experience (e.g. business valuation, financial due diligence, or similar experience at a leading financial services organization)
- Experience supporting live M&A processes from kick-off through closing
- Demonstrated ability to manage Analysts or other junior team members
- Strong financial modelling skills and understanding of financial statements and accounting principles
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment
- Strong work ethic and ability to work collaboratively within a team
- Undergraduate degree with emphasis in finance or accounting
- Expert knowledge in MS Excel and MS PowerPoint
