Role & Purpose:
Sr. Analyst – Corporate Finance
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Sr. Analyst of Corporate Finance, to join our team at J.Crew. In this pivotal role, you will report to the Vice President of FP&A, supporting all aspects of financial planning, including driving the development and execution of financial strategies, providing valuable insights into our financial performance and supporting our executive team in making well-informed decisions that fuel our company’s growth and profitability.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the monthly forecast process responsible for the consolidation and presentation of monthly, quarterly and annual results at the Group level including analyzing data to provide insights into KPI’s to identify trends, assess and manage risks associated with financial performance
- Manage the company-wide annual budgeting and LRP process, working with the broader FP&A team and key business partners, helping to drive the processes to completion through consolidations, financial modeling and ad-hoc analyses
- Develop financial reports and dashboards tailored for executive leadership and key stakeholders providing actionable insights to empower data-driven decision making within the organization.
- Partner with Business leaders and the Strategy team in development of Board of Director materials, including review of financial performance and KPIs, updates on strategic initiatives and general administrative and compliance matters
- Manage quarterly earnings process, including creating prepared remarks, analyzing financial and operating KPI’s for internal benchmarking and against peers and producing a comprehensive Q&A guide for senior leadership to guide analyst and investor discussions.
- Develop financial models and analyses in support of strategic initiatives, potential financial transactions, due diligence and strategic decision-making.
Qualifications:
- 2-4 years of experience ideally with a combination of FP&A and corporate finance, investment banking, accounting or management consulting
- Demonstrated prior management experience, leading and developing teams of analysts, fostering a high-performance culture, and driving successful outcomes
- Strong understanding of corporate finance and accounting concepts
- Proven track record of building financial models and ad hoc analyses to distill complex problems into actionable insights
- Excellent communicator with experience in building relationships across teams, presenting insights and recommendations to senior management and business leaders
- Ability to work well in a dynamic and complex environment while managing multiple priorities
- Experience with financial planning and modeling tools (Hyperion and SAP a plus).
