A leading global investment bank is seeking an experienced Investment Banking Associate to join its Financial Restructuring team in New York City.

As an Associate, you will partner closely with senior bankers to develop and execute strategic advisory and financing solutions across a diverse client base. You will contribute throughout the transaction lifecycle—from financial analysis and valuation to marketing, due diligence, and execution—while collaborating with industry and product specialists across the firm.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with senior bankers to advise clients on mergers and acquisitions, capital structure, financing strategies, financial restructuring, valuation, and other strategic corporate finance initiatives.
- Build and maintain complex financial models, valuation analyses, and transaction materials to support client engagements and deal execution.
- Prepare high-quality presentations, pitch books, marketing materials, and other client-facing deliverables.
- Support all phases of transaction execution, including due diligence, financial analysis, process management, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
- Work closely with industry coverage teams and product specialists across capital solutions, debt and equity financing, restructuring, valuation, and advisory functions to deliver integrated client solutions.
- Conduct company, industry, market, and precedent transaction research to support both live transactions and business development initiatives.
- Manage multiple priorities simultaneously while maintaining exceptional attention to detail and consistently delivering high-quality work under tight deadlines.
- Build strong working relationships across the organization and contribute to a collaborative, high-performing team environment.
- Support client relationship management efforts and participate in new business origination activities.
- Demonstrate initiative, sound judgment, and an entrepreneurial approach to identifying opportunities that enhance client service and support firm growth.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree with a strong academic record.
- Five or more years of professional experience, including a minimum of two years in investment banking or a closely related advisory environment.
- Prior experience within a leading investment bank, M&A advisory firm, restructuring practice, financing group, corporate development team, or comparable financial advisory platform.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with demonstrated experience in financial modeling, valuation, and transaction analysis.
