We are partnering with a well-established investment firm to appoint a Private Equity Associate to join its investment team.
About the Role
This is an opportunity to work across a broad private markets mandate, with exposure to co-investments, fund investments, portfolio monitoring and investment analysis. The successful candidate will work closely with senior investment professionals, evaluating opportunities across multiple sectors and supporting the full investment lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate private equity co-investment opportunities across a range of industries.
- Perform financial analysis, valuation and due diligence on prospective investments.
- Monitor existing portfolio companies and investment funds.
- Prepare investment memoranda and materials for investment committee discussions.
- Conduct market, industry and company research to support investment decisions.
- Assist with portfolio reporting and ongoing performance analysis.
- Work closely with senior leadership on strategic investment initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with a strong academic record.
Required Skills
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in private equity, private markets, investment banking or a related investment role.
- Strong financial modelling, valuation and analytical skills.
- Experience assessing private equity transactions, fund investments or co-investments is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Must be based in the New York area or able to commute to Long Island.
