We are partnering with a leading middle-market private equity firm in New York that is looking to add a Private Equity Associate to its investment team. The firm has an established track record of investing in technology-enabled businesses, software, digital infrastructure, and broader TMT sectors, and is seeking an investment professional who is eager to play an active role throughout the deal lifecycle.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative investment team with significant exposure to transaction execution, portfolio management, and investment decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and underwrite investment opportunities across the technology, software, and broader TMT sectors.
- Build and maintain detailed financial and LBO models to support investment decisions.
- Conduct commercial, financial, and operational due diligence alongside management teams and external advisors.
- Prepare investment committee materials, valuation analyses, and transaction memoranda.
- Participate in deal execution, including financing processes, legal documentation, and transaction negotiations.
- Monitor portfolio company performance and support value creation initiatives alongside management teams.
- Perform industry research and identify emerging investment themes and market trends.
- Work closely with senior investment professionals throughout the entire investment lifecycle.
Qualifications
- 2–5 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, growth equity, or a related investing role.
- Strong financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skills.
- Experience evaluating M&A transactions and conducting due diligence.
- Prior exposure to software, technology, digital infrastructure, communications, or broader TMT sectors is preferred.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple transactions in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor's degree with a strong academic record.
