Position Summary
A leading investment bank is seeking an Associate to join its Tech Services investment banking team. The group advises clients across a diverse range of sectors, including technology services, commercial services, professional services, and financial services.
The Associate will play a key role in transaction execution, financial analysis, and client engagement, working closely with senior bankers on a variety of M&A, capital raising, and strategic advisory assignments. This role offers significant responsibility, direct exposure to senior leadership, and the opportunity to work across a wide spectrum of service-oriented business models.
Key Responsibilities
- Support execution and day-to-day management of M&A, capital raising, and strategic advisory transactions
- Build and maintain detailed financial models, including valuation analyses (DCF, LBO, and trading comparables) and operating models
- Analyze company performance, industry trends, and competitive dynamics across multiple services sectors
- Prepare high-quality client materials, including pitch presentations, management presentations, and transaction marketing materials
- Conduct financial, operational, and commercial due diligence to assess opportunities and risks
- Coordinate with internal deal teams and external stakeholders, including clients, legal advisors, and investors
- Contribute to business development efforts through idea generation, industry research, and pitch preparation
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients through ongoing engagement and delivery of high-quality work
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of prior investment banking experience
- Strong financial modeling and valuation experience, with the ability to independently build models
- Experience supporting or executing M&A and/or capital markets transactions
- Excellent analytical skills and strong attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce client-ready materials
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with limited supervision
- High level of professionalism and comfort interacting with senior executives
- Bachelor's degree required
