Technology Investment Banking Analyst
Our client is a Boutique technology-focused Investment Bank. They seeking a highly motivated Investment Banking Analyst to support M&A, capital raising, and strategic advisory transactions within the technology sector. This individual will work closely with senior bankers and clients across all stages of transaction execution, including financial analysis, valuation, due diligence, marketing materials, and investor outreach.
Responsibilities
- Support execution of M&A, private placements, recapitalizations, and strategic advisory assignments
- Build and maintain detailed financial models, including three-statement operating models, valuation analyses, LBO models, and transaction scenarios
- Conduct company, industry, and market research across software and technology sectors
- Assist in the preparation of pitch books, CIMs, management presentations, investor materials, and other transaction-related documentation
- Coordinate due diligence processes and support data room management
- Identify and evaluate potential investors, buyers, and acquisition targets
- Work directly with senior bankers, clients, attorneys, accountants, and other transaction counterparties throughout live deal processes
- Monitor market activity, transaction comps, and broader industry trends
Qualifications
- 1–3 years of investment banking experience, preferably within technology, software, or related sectors
- Strong financial modeling and valuation skill set
- Understanding of M&A transaction processes and capital markets
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field preferred
