Job Summary
The Trust Officer will be responsible for development, maintenance and daily administration of a portfolio of trust, trust agency, IRA and/or estate account relationships. This position will provide high quality service to customers, manage the development, application and execution of quality and risk control processes and procedures for accounts, and promote efficient communication and execution between trust officers and trust operations.
Essential Functions, Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Receives and manages contributions for clients and disburses funds from accounts as directed by clients, trust officers or by agreement
- Manages and maintains all administrative activities of assigned accounts
- Processes distribution requests, incoming bills and wires
- Oversees contributions for customers for proper tax and transaction coding
- Processes tax payments and returns
- Develops and delivers solutions to meet clients’ needs
- Maintains working relationships with clients, partners, attorneys, CPAs and other related professionals to ensure quality service
- Maintains knowledge of current federal and state trust regulations and tax laws and any changes impacting those regulations and laws
- Maintains a working knowledge of income and estate taxation and their impact on individual trust assets
- Supports preparation of client information, such as investment performance reports, financial document summaries, or income projections
- Supports business development activity, including the enhancement of relationships with existing and potential customers to retain existing business and attract new business
- Supervises administrative assistants in all trust administration duties
