We are looking for a detail-oriented Credit Analyst to support commercial lending activities for a Contract position based in Scottsdale, Arizona. In this role, you will review financial information for new and existing borrowers, develop clear credit recommendations, and help maintain sound portfolio quality. This opportunity is fully remote and offers the chance to contribute analytical insight in a banking environment focused on accuracy, timeliness, and credit discipline.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare thorough credit write-ups and lending summaries for new requests, renewals, and loan changes.
• Analyze borrower financial statements, cash flow performance, and repayment capacity to support credit decisions.
• Calculate covenant compliance metrics and identify trends or exceptions that may affect risk exposure.
• Evaluate borrower strength, collateral position, and other key factors to highlight potential areas of concern.
• Produce portfolio reporting that includes ratio analysis, trend review, and supporting credit documentation.
• Monitor assigned commercial loan relationships through periodic financial reviews and ongoing risk assessment.
• Partner with relationship managers and underwriting staff to provide accurate analysis and responsive support.
• Confirm that loan files and credit materials meet internal policy standards and applicable regulatory expectations.
• 1–3 years of experience in credit analysis within commercial banking, business lending, or a similar environment.
• Working knowledge of commercial credit principles, borrower risk assessment, and lending practices.
• Ability to spread financial statements and interpret cash flow, leverage, liquidity, and performance trends.
• Experience preparing credit presentations, loan memoranda, or other formal underwriting documents.
• Familiarity with covenant testing, compliance monitoring, and ongoing portfolio review processes.
• Exposure to Abrigo, Experian, or similar credit analysis and reporting systems is preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
