POSITION SUMMARY: RISK COMPLIANCE SPECIALIST
FLSA Status: Exempt
Reports To: Compliance Officer
Community Bank in Lexington, Tennessee is seeking a Risk Compliance Specialist.
This is an exciting opportunity for the ideal candidate to bring the benefit of relevant experience in compliance, BSA and/or risk management to assist in the development of a growing compliance department.
On-site work will be required on a regular basis. While this position may accommodate part-time remote work, the applicant should ideally live within the Bank’s trade area of West Tennessee.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Interpretation and application of regulatory laws, guidance and directives (i.e. Reg Z, Reg CC, Reg B, Reg E, Flood, BSA/AML).
o Generate and maintain annual monitoring reports for institution performance under all major regulations.
o Review adverse actions for accuracy, facilitate needed corrections, and maintain records of all adverse actions.
o Maintain accuracy and currentness of all compliance policies.
- Knowledge of BSA/AML/CIP/OFAC Regulations.
- Knowledge of Verafin software is a plus.
- Work with the Compliance Officer and Chief Risk Officer to support the overall risk management program across all areas of the bank, including the annual compliance risk assessment.
· Assist in employee training and maintain records of training.
· Assist in periodic monitoring and audits conducted by outside auditors.
· Assist employees across the institution with compliance questions and issues.
- Assist BSA department as needed.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Additionally, the qualifications listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required in this position:
- Minimum of 3 – 5 years banking experience with a focus in regulatory compliance.
- Comprehensive knowledge of consumer and commercial regulations.
- Previous experience in risk management, internal audit, compliance, and/or control testing preferred.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Strong organizational skills, ability to learn quickly, and complete tasks accurately and timely.
- Detail-oriented with excellent communication/presentation skills (both written and verbal).
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office products.
- Experience with AI is helpful but not required.
